Mould design, compression moulding, LSR, finishing and inspection — what we run in-house, what we manage through partners, and where the honest limits are.
What we do in-house, and what we do not

Supplier websites rarely publish manufacturing detail, which leaves the buyer guessing. This page is the honest version: what we run, what we outsource, and where the limits are.
Compression and liquid silicone rubber (LSR) moulding for solid silicone parts from prototype to series production.
The primary process for solid rubber and silicone parts: thick sections, medium-to-high hardness, low-to-mid volumes.
In-house mould design and tooling, with the tooling cost refundable against volume production.
| Capability | Status | Typical application | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mould/tooling design | In-house | All custom parts | We design the tool, not just fill it. |
| Compression moulding | In-house | Gaskets, seals, feet, dampers, thick sections | Best cost point for solid silicone/rubber at medium volume. |
| Liquid silicone rubber (LSR) | In-house | Thin-wall, high-precision, optically clear | Preferred where fatigue life and precision dominate. |
| Rubber compounding | In-house | EPDM, NBR, FKM, NR, SBR, CR | Compound selected against your service conditions. |
| Prototyping | In-house | Design validation before tooling | Short-run and sample parts for fit and function testing. |
| Deflashing & finishing | In-house | All moulded parts | Critical for sealing faces and cosmetic surfaces. |
| Screen printing & laser marking | In-house | Keypads, branded parts | Custom graphics, legends and traceability marks. |
| Bonding & sub-assembly | In-house | Silicone-to-metal, silicone-to-plastic | For parts shipped ready to fit. |
| Injection moulding | Partner network | High-volume rubber parts | Managed and inspected by us; tooling remains under our control. |
| Overmoulding | Partner network | Rubber over substrate | Quoted case by case against your substrate and volume. |
The chain we manage for every programme, from first enquiry to repeat order:
Where the part is a robot joint seal the chain above is unchanged, but the acceptance criteria tighten: compression set, ozone exposure and cyclic articulation have to be specified at quote stage rather than discovered in the field. We set that out in silicone seals for robotic joints.
Tell us the part, the volume and the service conditions. We will tell you which process we would use and why, including when the answer is "not us".
