Request a Quote

Complete the form below and your enquiry is sent to our engineering team. Fields marked with an asterisk are the ones we genuinely need in order to quote; everything else helps us quote accurately on the first pass.

4. Requirements

Tick everything that applies — these decide the compound.

5. Files

Our form cannot upload binary files directly. Please attach your CAD file, PDF drawing or photographs to the email that this form generates — your email client will open with everything else already filled in.

6. Confidentiality

If checked, we will send our NDA (or sign yours) before you transmit any drawings.

This form composes an email in your own mail client — we also record the enquiry details in our internal enquiry log so your message is not lost. Your files stay in your email: nothing is uploaded to this website. Prefer to write directly? Email cuckoo@silicon-rubbers.com.

What Happens After You Send It

  1. Your enquiry is read by an engineer, not passed to a queue.
  2. If anything essential is missing, we come back with a specific question rather than a generic chase.
  3. You receive material options, tooling scope, part pricing by volume band, sample cost and lead time.
  4. If we are not the right supplier for your programme, we say so.

RFQ Frequently Asked Questions

What files can I upload?

3D CAD files (STEP, IGES, STL), 2D drawings (PDF, DWG, DXF) and photographs of an existing part are all workable. A dimensional drawing is preferred, but we can quote from a photograph plus dimensions if that is all you have.

Can you manufacture from a sample?

Yes. Send a physical sample and we will reverse-engineer the geometry and propose a material. Where the original compound cannot be identified with certainty, we will recommend the closest equivalent and explain the trade-off before tooling.

Do you provide prototypes?

Yes. First-article samples for fit, function and life testing are produced before mass production. Sample cost and timing are quoted separately from tooling so you can see what you are paying for.

What materials are available?

Silicone (HTV / LSR), EPDM, NBR, FKM (Viton), NR, SBR, CR. The compound is selected against your temperature range, contact fluids, compression-set budget and any food or skin-contact requirement.

What is your MOQ?

MOQ depends on the part, the tooling and the material — it is quoted per project rather than published as a blanket figure. Tooling cost is refundable against volume production, which means a smaller first order is usually workable.

How long does tooling take?

Tooling lead time depends on mould complexity and current capacity. It is quoted per project with the tooling price, and we give a dated commitment rather than an open-ended estimate.

Can you sign an NDA?

Yes. We work under NDA where requested and can sign your document or provide ours. Drawings and tooling records are not shared with third parties.

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes. We ship internationally. Packaging can be specified for your line — bulk, tray, bagged or kitted — and shipping method is agreed at order confirmation.

What information do you need to quote?

The drawing or sample, the application, the service environment (temperature, chemicals, contamination), expected annual volume, and any certification or documentation requirement. The more of this you provide upfront, the fewer quotation rounds are needed.

What is the tooling cost refund policy?

Tooling cost refundable against volume production orders. The exact terms are stated in your quotation.
